A product of Poppy Leitch’s U23s pathway programme, Izzy Newnes-Smith was put forward for a transition contract before the start of the 2026/27 season.
The back-rower followed her father and her siblings onto the rugby pitch and played for Guildford RFC before heading to the University of Exeter to further her rugby development.
Newnes-Smith’s best moment in her career so far was winning the BUCS Sevens at the end of last season for the University.
