Young prop Ethan Burger joined the Chiefs pack at the outset of the 2024/25 season as forwards coach Ross McMillan was keen to develop the young front-rowers potential.
A product of university side Tuks Rugby in South Africa, Burger was spotted by Chiefs coaches for his skillset and drive.
Previously involved in the Blue Bulls U21 squad in 2020, the front rower had had limited senior environment exposure before moving to Devon.
He made his Chiefs debut in a Gallagher PREM clash with Bristol Bears at Ashton Gate at the start of the 2025/26 season and by the end of the campaign, he was coming off the bench in the league final at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham in front of 82,000 people.
