Brought into the Chiefs senior set-up ahead of the 2022/23 season, young lock Joe Bailey is a player with huge potential and promise for the future.
Captain of the Exeter Chiefs Under-18s squad during the 2021/22 season, by the end of the campaign the Bristol-born forward had worked his way into the England U18s squad.
Introduced to rugby by his dad at the age of seven at his local club, Newton Abbot RFC, he worked his way up through the age groups before coming into the Chiefs Academy set-up, via Exeter College.
Bailey includes his early career honours as being a part of the Chiefs Premiership Cup squad in 2022/23 and making his England U20s debut against South Africa U20s.
In July 2024, Bailey was a try-scorer in the World Rugby U20 Championship final as England U20 emerged victorious, lifting the world age-grade crown.
