Following a family move from Leeds to Seaton in Devon, Lewis Pearson followed in the footsteps of his two rugby league playing brothers by starting a playing career at the age of 15 with Sidmouth RFC.

His main education came at Woodroffe School in Lyme Regis, and then at Exeter College, where he studied Sports Performance and was a member of the College’s ACE League-winning rugby squad.

Described as a young player never afraid to get stuck into the action, Pearson’s senior development came on dual-registration with National League One side Plymouth Albion and Championship side Cornish Pirates.

As a regular starter down at the Brickfields, during a two-year period he made 48 appearances and the regular exposure to senior rugby helping to accelerate his development.

Since his Chiefs debut against Harlequins in the PREM Rugby Cup in November 2018, Pearson has made more than 60 first team appearances for Chiefs, being a dependable performer in the second and back row.
