Hooker Louie Gulley has been in Chiefs colours since first being brought into the Academy set-up at 15-years-old – a set-up he continues to progress through as he sits on the fringes of the first team squad.

Sighting Crediton RFC as a massive impact on his rugby development, the young Exeterman was initially inspired to pick up a rugby ball by his dad at a young age.

Gulley describes his participation in the Chiefs environment as a dream come true as the opportunity to represent his home club is an honour for the youngster.

Having been a standout for England U20s in recent years, Gulley made his Chiefs debut in a PREM Rugby Cup match against Sale Sharks during the 2025/26 season. Just one week later, he fulfilled a childhood dream of captaining Chiefs at Sandy Park when he led the side out in the proceeding cup round against Bristol Bears.
