Ward began playing rugby at school before joining her local club, Barnstaple. She decided to develop her skills further by heading to Exeter College and its player development programme.
Now at the University of Exeter, Ward has played for England U18s and signed for Exeter Chiefs Women in March 2024. She made her debut against Trailfinders Women in May 2024.
