Sponsors enjoy Evening with the Players
More than 300 guests attended the annual Evening with the Players event hosted at Sandy Park.
The invite-only event saw corporate sponsors rub shoulders with players and coaches from both the Exeter Chiefs men’s and women’s teams to thank them for their support this season.
The club’s director of rugby Rob Baxter OBE and women’s head coach Steve Salvin answered questions from former Chiefs player Chris Bentley following welcome drinks and a two-course supper held in the Exeter Suite.
Bentley also entertained the audience with a Q&A session with Black Fern Amy Rule, the Wallabies’ Tom Hooper, Springbok Joseph Dweba, and Chiefs’ men’s star fly-half Harvey Skinner.
In addition, there were plenty of other Chiefs players present in the room, either sitting with their own sponsors or with club sponsors.
The club’s chairman and CEO Tony Rowe CBE concluded proceedings by thanking the sponsors present.
Ginny Fellows, centre manager from the Guildhall Exeter, said: “The Exeter Chiefs sponsors’ evening was full of laughter centre manager and great company, and it was a real pleasure sitting with our sponsored player, Will Haydon-Wood. The food was fabulous, and the insight into the club really highlighted the passion and professionalism behind the scenes. The player Q&A was a real highlight, entertaining, engaging, and full of brilliant stories that had everyone laughing. A thoroughly enjoyable and memorable event.”
Matt Norris, director of Lineal, Chiefs’ Digital Sponsor, said: “Thanks for such a wonderful evening. It was a great atmosphere, I’ve had amazing feedback from our guests, so thank you."
