Exeter Braves resume their Aviva A League campaign this evening when they play host to Bath United at Sandy Park (7:30pm).

Having returned to winning ways last time out away to Harlequins, Ricky Pellow’s side will be hoping to make the most of home advantage against the division’s bottom club.

Bath have lost their two opening fixtures in the Southern Group and will face an uphill struggle tonight against a powerful Braves line-up that includes seven full internationals.

Among those set to start are England international Jack Nowell, who is making his comeback from a torn quad, while former Bath player Niko Matawalu is set to run out in Exeter colours for the first time since his move last month.

The duo line-up in a back division that also includes fellow international Michele Campagnaro.

Up front, Bath will come face-to-face with an all international front-row with Moray Low (Scotland) and Tomas Francis (Wales) packing down alongside Elvis Taione.

Behind, Damian Welch and Ollie Atkins provide the power in the engine room, while England international Tom Johnson skippers the side from No.8.

Looking ahead to the game, Pellow said: “We had a very good win away to Harlequins last time out in the competition, so it’s important that we build on that result and look to produce another really solid performance against Bath.

“Obviously we have picked a very experienced side, so we’re expecting all of the guys to stand up and be counted and put in performances that will put them in contention for selection this weekend against Bordeaux.

“We’ve got a busy period of games coming up across the board and it’s important that we have as many guys fit and raring to go as we can.”

Season Ticket, Gold Card and 1905 members will be able to watch tonight’s game for FREE as part of their seasonal package, but for all others admission is £10 for adults and £5 for Students and Under 16s.
