With the new season just a week away for the Exeter Chiefs, supporters of the Gallagher Premiership club were able to get up close and personal with their favourites stars as Sandy Park opened it's doors for the club's 2019 Open Day.

Huge numbers poured into the stadium for the chance to not only get a rare glimpse behind the scenes at the club, but at the same time they got to meet and greet many of Rob Baxter's first-team squad, as well as the chance to take part in a series of activities in and around the main pitch.

Those who attended the fun-filled family event were also treated to live music in the Wigwam Bar, which also played host to a special Gin Festival that offered those who visited the chance to try 20 different types of Westcountry-based gin.

The Community Chiefs department, aided by members of the first-team squad, had a series of rugby-based skills activities for youngsters to test out, whilst adults and children alike were able to go inside the tunnel to the playing side where they were able to find out more about day-to-day life at the club, a look at the recently developed first-team changing room, plus a first glance of the new recovery suite, which includes new hot and cold pools and a hot tub.

As well as signing autographs, posing for selfies and part-taking in various commitments on the field, other members of the squad helped out in the Trading Post, which was open throughout the course of the day selling the new range of club clothing and merchandise.
