Patricia García Rodriguez of Exeter Chiefs Women appeared before an online independent disciplinary panel on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

García Rodriguez was shown a red card by referee Nikki O'Donnell in the 44th minute of the match between Bristol Bears Women and Exeter Chiefs Women on Saturday, January 9, 2021. This was for a tip tackle, contrary to World Rugby Law 9.18

García Rodriguez denied the charge but the panel found it upheld. She was given a five week suspension by the independent panel comprising Richard Whittam QC (chair) with Becky Essex and Leon Lloyd.
