Happy Campers enjoy Easter treat

It's been a packed Easter period for the Exeter Chiefs Community team who have been out and about across the region, delivering numerous 'Train Like A Chief' camps.

Hundreds of youngsters have been making the most of their down-time to hone their rugby skills with the help of our Community department, together with players from both the men's and women's teams here at Sandy Park.

Developed and designed by our team of professional coaches using the most up-to-date techniques, our rugby camps aim to offer young people the best possible experience and insight into the modern-day game.

Campers not only learn the basic elements of the game, but at the same time improve their skill set in a range of activities and match-like scenarios.

And, as always, the key focus for the Community team is on encouraging and inspiring young players to become the best they can be and to reach their full potential.

Camps have been run in Barnstaple, Bridgwater, Exmouth, Ivybridge, Okehampton, Penryn, Topsham and Truro.

Aron Struminski, Community Development Manager for the Chiefs, said: "It's been brilliant to get our team back out into the local area, delivering camps to all of these youngsters. With what has happened over the past 12 months, just being able to engage and teach the children about rugby has been fantastic for us.

"We've been lucky to have a number of players from both the men's and women's teams head along to some of our camps - and this has helped give all the campers a real insight into the game and, of course, life here at the Chiefs."
