Exeter Chiefs are delighted to announce that two of their key sponsors have expanded their association with the club by investing into the newly-formed Exeter Chiefs Women's side.

Centrax and Bradfords Building Supplies, both of whom have enjoyed long-term partnerships with the Devon club, have each added their company logos to the back of the women's match-day shirts.

On show for the first time last Saturday, the Chiefs Women did not disappoint as they ended 2020 with a resounding 38-0 victory over fellow newcomers Sale Sharks Women at Sandy Park.

The move by two of the region's leading businesses to align themselves with not only the reigning English and European champions, but also the highly ambitious Chiefs Women's team shows the strength of the partnership that has been created.

David Young, CEO of Bradfords Building Supplies, said: “The Chiefs' emphasis on supporting their community resonates with the Bradfords culture. The core value synergies between our two organisations create a powerful partnership that we’re delighted to be extending for the coming season.

“Also, the popularity of women’s rugby continues to grow at an astounding rate. As the Chiefs look to publicise and draw more women into the sport, we see this new sponsorship as a platform in which to encourage more women to explore the opportunities available to them within the construction industry, especially in the South West.”

Bradfords will now provide player sponsorship for Chiefs and England star Henry Slade, as well as Women’s captain Linde van der Velden - together with creating the new Bradfords Player of the Day for both men's and women's matches.

They will also again be teaming up with the Community Chiefs to run regional Under-8 Tag Rugby Festivals, which will be held across the South West to encourage and inspire young players to become the best they can be, both on and off the field.

Meanwhile, Centrax will have their logo on the back of all the men's playing shirts, as well as that of the women = and they will also continue to sponsor first-team players Ollie Devoto, Jonny Gray, Stuart Hogg and Sam Simmonds.

Also included is their seasonal sponsorship of new kicking coach, Gareth Steenson.

Lisa Duncan, Sales and Marketing director of the Exeter Chiefs, said: “In what has been a difficult year for everyone, it’s fantastic that we continue to have the support of both Centrax and Bradfords.

“Since coming on board with the club, they have helped share in our success, both on and off the field. As double-winning champions in 2020, it’s great that the Chiefs have been able to align ourselves alongside such strong Westcountry-based brands and we look forward to our successful relationship continuing into the future.”
