Premiership Rugby today announces that its recently launched Champions Learn with Us online lessons will return this week.

With schools set to reopen on Monday 8th March, Premiership Rugby confirms its continued commitment to supporting parents and teachers with home-schooling with the extension of the online lesson series.

“We launched the online lessons to support parents and teachers where we can, and our commitment to this remains resolute until schools return. The Champions Learn with Us lessons have been warmly received, with views exceeding our expectations, making it an easy decision to extend the series after half term,” said Wayne Morris, Premiership Rugby Community and CSR Director.

“It’s worrying to hear continued media reports that Primary school aged children are being most affected by school closure. Not only is keeping them engaged and entertained key to inspiring them to learn whilst at home, encouraging them to move is vital for both their physical and mental wellbeing. The decision to continue providing online learning content is part of our continued commitment to play our part in improving the lives and futures of children across the country.”

Premiership Rugby Champions Learn with Us is a series of twice-weekly online lessons to support parents and teachers in keeping children engaged with learning. Themed Tackling Numeracy and Tackling Health, the lessons use rugby to inspire primary children to learn mathematics and PHSE. Initially Learn with Us was scheduled to run for four weeks to half term, this has now been extended with lessons returning this week.

The content has been created with the help of expert learning technology company Aspire 2Be, with experienced Premiership Rugby Champions teachers and trainers presenting the lessons online. Premiership Rugby Champions is also supported by the Greggs Foundation, the BT Supporters Club and the CVC Foundation.

Designed and delivered by Premiership Rugby Champions teachers, the live lessons use rugby to inspire KS2 primary children to learn mathematics and PHSE. Themed Tackling Numeracy and Tackling Health.

Premiership Rugby Champions Learn with Us lessons stream live, every Wednesday and Friday at 10am. These can be accessed for free either to watch live, or on demand via www.premiershiprugby.com/learnwithus.
