Nowell underwent successful ankle surgery in June after he was forced off the field in a 37-34 defeat to Saracens in the Gallagher Premiership Final earlier that month following a collision with opposing winger Sean Maitland.

The 26-year-old was included in head coach Eddie Jones' 38-man training camp in Treviso, Italy. The 12-day camp will end this week, with the squad due to return home on Friday.

The England and British & Irish Lions international has made 33 international appearances scoring 60 points.
