Exeter Braves will kick-off the newly-named Premiership Rugby Shield with a trip to rivals Saracens Storm in the first of ten confirmed fixtures for the new season.

Last season’s beaten finalists in the A League will be aiming to go one better as they look to qualify out of the Southern Conference, which also features Bath United, Bristol United, Gloucester United and Harlequins.

Ricky Pellow’s side produced an impressive display last season in the competition, only to go down in the final to Northampton Wanderers at Franklin’s Gardens.

First up for the Braves will be a trip to Allianz Park on September 3 to face Saracens, before they play host to Bath at Sandy Park a week later.

Gloucester are the visitors to Devon on September 24, after which it’s another home encounter for the Braves, this time against Bristol on October 1.

The competition then takes a break until December, where it resumes with successive away-days for the Braves against Harlequins (Dec 17) and Bath (Dec 24).

Into the New Year and the competition reaches it’s latter stages in April when Harlequins visit on the 1st, quickly followed by an away-day at Bristol a week later (Apr 8).The final group fixture sees Saracens travel to Devon on April 22.

Should the Braves qualify from the competition, the semi-finals take place on May 6 with the final a week later on May 13.
