Vote for your Premiership Community Player of the Month

With Gallagher Premiership Rugby currently suspended there isn’t any action to allow our expert judging panel to select their Gallagher Premiership Rugby Player of the Month for March based on on-pitch performance.

So, together with our partner Gallagher, we are renaming this award as the Gallagher Community Player of the Month – to find and applaud the Premiership player who has had the made the biggest social contribution to their local community in March.

Darren Childs, Chief Executive at Premiership Rugby said: “It’s been inspiring to see the way the Premiership Rugby clubs and their players have responded in a time of national crisis with their work in the community. So, in partnership with Gallagher, we want to recognise some of the players doing great work to alleviate the burden on their communities.

“The Gallagher Premiership Rugby Player of the Month for March will be decided based on a players’ work off the pitch, rather than on it, and we are asking supporters to nominate players they’ve seen making a difference in March.”

Simon Matson, CEO of Gallagher UK, added: “At a time when we are all, as individuals, businesses, families and communities having to adjust to and navigate the uncharted waters of social isolation, our sense of community has never been so important.

“It’s brilliant to see how various Gallagher Premiership Rugby clubs and players, wrestling with exactly the same challenges, have sought to make a real difference to local community morale and well-being through practical and pragmatic action in recent weeks. Help us to recognise some of these great contributions during the month of March by nominating your Gallagher Community Player of the Month.”

What do you need to do?

Nominating your chosen Gallagher Premiership Rugby player who has made a big commitment or difference to their local community during the month of March couldn’t be easier.

Before 12 noon on Thursday, April 9 simply post your nomination and reasons on Twitter using the hashtag #GallagherCommunityPlayer along with @premrugby and @GallagherUK

The best nominations will form a shortlist which will be judged through a supporters’ poll on the Premiership Rugby App.

The player with the most votes for their contribution to community will then receive courtesy of Gallagher:
