The club re-signed Charlie Budge from Chiefs’ feeder club Exeter Athletic in March 2024.
Budge’s return to professional rugby made her Exeter Chiefs Women’s first-ever player to have given birth. She will be familiar to the Sandy Park faithful having played a season for the club before leaving in 2021 to have her son, Bohdie.
The hooker played four games after making her debut against Gloucester-Hartpury in October 2020. After giving birth, she spent a year and a half with Ivybridge Women before transferring to Exeter Athletic where she was coached by her former team and house mate, Poppy Leitch.
