The gifted young hooker signed for Exeter Chiefs in April 2022 from Welsh United Rugby Championship side, Cardiff Rugby.
The boy from the valleys got involved in rugby originally as his dad was the coach of his local Wattstown RFC minis team. Joining up with the local club, he took to the sport well. As he progressed, he was eventually picked up by Cardiff at the age of 16.
A shoulder injury meant game time for the Welsh Under 20s starlet was somewhat limited during the 2021/22 season, featuring just three times for the Arms Park-based region, the last of which was a Champions Cup start against Toulouse in December. Ultimately, he made 14 appearances for Cardiff’s Premiership team.
Although he arrived at Sandy Park with a shoulder injury, he quickly settled into life in Devon and once fully fit was able to make his Gallagher Premiership debut in a home win over Harlequins.
