Born in Steeton, this West Yorkshire lad joined Ilkley Rugby Club at the tender age of five to begin his rugby journey which has most recently led him to the Chiefs for the start of the 2023/24 season.
As a by-product of his time at Ilkley, Postlethwaite was brought into the fold at the Yorkshire Carnegie Academy.
Following the time with his home county outfit, the young lock made the move to Premiership side, Sale Sharks ahead of the 2015/16 season. Whilst at Carrington Lane, the forward was also aligned to National One side Sale FC.
A highlight of his time in the North was Sale’s European semi-final against La Rochelle in the rowdy French atmosphere of the Stade Marcel-Deflandre.
Departing Sale at the end of the 2022/23 season, Postlethwaite caught the eye of Rob Baxter due to his hard-hitting style.
