Nichola Fryday
Irish second row Nichola Fryday arrived at Exeter Chiefs following the autumn internationals in 2021.
The former Ireland captain, Fryday started playing rugby at 19 while studying at university and made a big impression, being selected to play for Connacht interprovincial side in 2016, before making her international debut later that year.
A hard hitting and abrasive second row, Fryday made an immediate impact for Appleby's side and was named as Ireland captain ahead of the 2022 TikTok Six Nations, leading her side to a fourth place finish.
Fryday racked up her 50th appearance for the club in the 2023/24 season.
Away from the sport, Fryday comes from a farming background and studied food and agricultural business management.
