Winger Kofi Barton-Byfield officially joined up with the Chiefs first team squad ahead of the 2023/24 season. The 21-year-old back was originally introduced to rugby after a friend dragged him to play a Sunday game after a childhood sleepover and Barton-Byfield came back with a man of the match recognition.
Having played for England Universities, Barton-Byfield’s highlight of the experience was beating the French Universities side in France for the first time in 17 years.
Prior to his arrival at Chiefs, he also spent time with Frome Rugby Club followed by fellow Premiership side, Bath Rugby.
