Young Cornishman Will Becconall started playing rugby at the age of six at Falmouth Rugby Club, where his dad was originally his coach. He would subsequently work his way up through the age groups to Colts level for the club.
A pupil of Truro School, then Truro College – where he was very much part of the Exeter Chiefs Academy structure – the scrum-half is now combining life at Chiefs with that of studying at the nearby University of Exeter.
A talented young half-back with bags of potential, he is also the nephew of former Leicester Tigers, Moseley and Penzance-Newlyn scrum-half, Garry Becconsall.
